Village of Midlothian Garden

This garden, located at 13000 Midlothian Turnpike at the East entrance of the Village of Midlothian, allow all who travel up and down Midlothian Turnpike to view its beauty through the changing seasons of the year. Members work year round to weed, trim, rake, plant and mulch to keep the garden attractive. (NGC & SAR Objective: Civic Beautification.)

Service Project

Bethel Baptist Memorial Garden

This garden, located on the grounds of Bethel Baptist Church at 1100 Huguenot Springs Road, is visible by all the members of the Church as they come and go to services and activities. The Garden is dedicated to deceased Garden Club members. Club members work year round to keep the garden an attractive place of tranquility. (NGC & SAR Objective: Garden Therapy.)

Nature Camp Scolarships

In support of our local youth and the importance of connecting them with nature, the Midlothian Garden Club is proud to help with financial assistance to send deserving kids to Nature Camp in Vesuvius, Virginia. Know of a deserving child? CONTACT us for more information.

Life Long Learning Instutute Containers

Located at 13801 Westfield Road, our Garden Club members maintain two containers. Community members are greeted with the beauty of these plantings as they enter and exit the building. (NGC & SAR Objective: Community Beautification.)

Blue Star Memorial

This memorial is located in the pocket park at 13491 Midlothian Turnpike, on the east side of Midlothian Middle School. It honors the men and women of our Armed Forces, past, present and future. Club members created a permanent wreath that is displayed on National Holidays.

Garden Therapy at Ginter Hall South

This once a month outreach occurs at Ginter Hall South, an assisted living facility, located at 11300 Mall Court. Club members encourage and assist residents to create their own personal floral arrangements which they take back to brighten their rooms.

Ginter Hall Pie Party

In May, our garden club members bake homemade pies to serve with lemonade to the residents of Ginter Hall South. The pie party is very popular with the residents and well attended.

Service Project

Midlothian Village Day Festival

Located at the Midlothian Middle School, 13501 Midlothian Turnpike, the Midlothian Day Festival is held on a Saturday in October. Our Garden Club reserves a space for a display. Club members volunteer throughout the day to speak to those who stop by to visit with us. We have several educational displays on floral designs, birding, pollinators, and conservation. We give away hundreds of flower seeds which we have collected throughout the spring and summer. Visitors are invited to attend meetings.
